Good and bad

The app is a curious mixture of the awful and the fairly good. What is good? Is has a good number of necessary phrases. The pronunciation is a little on the mechanical side, but is adequate, on the whole. I liked the interface. It was easy to find my way around and to review the phrases. What was awful? Too often, the spoken phrase did not correspond with the Korean. In some cases it was just another way of saying the same thing. In other cases, it was different phrase altogether. Korean has two numbering systems. Learning Korean requires that you learn when to use which system. This app only gives one alternative for each number. Sometimes the number is from one system; sometimes from the other. Often, the spoken phrase is different from what is written. I know enough Korean to sort out the problems, but I find it frustrating, nonetheless. For a new learner, it has to be mystifying. Potentially, this is a good application. It does need to be corrected, though.
